i've been wearing holes in your old things for quite some time but no amount of holes in your hand-me-downs will make them mine see, i've been feeling cloudy lately between the seams of your sweater of your long pants of your childhood dreams have you already thought the thoughts that I think when I wear your jeans? would you admit their honest origins if i spoke to you about these things?

i could take my dad's car, park it on your street you could tell your dog you trust me you could take me upstairs, show me to your room we could act, architect the good gloom i could move to paris, just to fucking try it but sick as a dog in my apartment i miss our quiet i could take my dad's car, park it on your street you could tell me that you trust me i miss our quiet

"my bed is a burden, the devil seems a wilting warden"

The way somebody speaks to their dog, what time it is, and how one feels about holes in their jeans: these are just a few examples of the everyday thoughts spread across Peach Pit, the debut album from Ryder Eaton. While these would typically be shrugged off by other songwriters in search of a grandiose message, Ryder turns the obsolete into the observational, utilizing seemingly mundane thoughts to capture specific moments in time...just don't expect closure with these songs. Instead, on Peach Pit Ryder stretches more detail over 10 minutes than many artists will do in an hour.
